How?

We have compiled the most efficient combination of heating solutions, based on the home energy needs calculations prepared by engineer Tõnu Tamm from the engineering office TIB OÜ. Using this, the heating energy cost per unit area is the least. In new buildings and skillfully renovated old houses, it is possible to reduce the financial cost of heating to zero.

This requires the combined use of:

• A heat pump, to ensure the electricity consumption is as low as possible. Air-to-air, air-to-water, and ground-source heat pumps can produce 2-4 kW of heat energy from 1 kW of electrical energy.
• Solar panels, to produce the necessary electricity for the heat pump.

If the annual production of solar panels installed on a building does not exceed 11 kWh, it is easy to sign a micro-producer contract with the network company, which allows the electricity generated by the panels in excess of one's own consumption in summer to be sold back to the network. This allows for the purchase of electricity from the network in winter when the panels produce less. The more electricity is used on-site, the greater the financial savings and thus the shorter the payback period of the investment in the equipment.

Mostly, the total investment in these devices is smaller than your heating cost over 10 years using other heating solutions.
